DJJ Technologies is one of the largest franchise realty groups in the nation, with independent branches throughout the U.S. The Georgia legacy group division had about 3 locations and 1,400 employees working in a hybrid environment, with about 400-500 agents working remotely.

The client had only been using tape backup for their data and didn’t have an adequate backup strategy in place, leaving them vulnerable to data loss. This was concerning since one of their branches had been hit with a ransomware attack. The organization only had one IT director who focused on applications and had limited resources and knowledge to manage a backup solution.

A SECURE OFFSITE BACKUP SOLUTION

We offered a cloud backup solution powered by Veeam. We were also able to secure significant group savings by combining all 32 TB in all locations under one contract, which turned out to be half the cost of other competitors.

Our Backup as a Service allowed the client to push their existing data to the cloud for an offsite backup. The organization received a secure and robust backup solution that automates data backup to secure cloud storage, taking care of all the management and monitoring. The solution included strong local encryption protecting company data from unauthorized access using hardened SSL protocols.

Along with real-time backup and encryption, the solution also provides compression, the option of local or block-level backup, and backup schedule automation.

Results

The client can now restore backups anytime from any place with an internet connection and set up suitable schedules for backup or back up new files immediately with Continuous Data Protection.
